Our Mission

 

Gabriela Mistral Foundation (GMF) is committed to carrying on the human legacy of Gabriela Mistral, particularly her deep love and commitment to help poor children and aging in her native land, Chile. GMF strives to fulfill Gabriela’s commitment through grants to charitable, educational and social institutions that directly help the poor in areas such as language development, the arts, cultural and environmental appreciation and protection and other areas that provide the poor with better opportunities to succeed in a modern and competitive world.
